			<p>Through the rustling of leaves and the smell of autumn, we launched the <a href="https://samsara.ro/meniu-qr-en">new Samsara menu</a>, a menu passed through the imagination and mastery of our own kitchen, which puts the tastes, textures and colors of the season on the plate.</p>
<p>We let autumn show us, like every year, how nature transforms, how it spreads the smell of pumpkin baked in the oven and freshly picked grapes, how it puts all its rich fruits on our table.</p>
<h4>Autumn on a plate in the new Samsara menu</h4>
<p>We have included new dishes with autumnal flavors, inspired by seasonal ingredients, dishes that should not only be seen and tasted, but experienced with all the senses. The menu includes dishes like <strong>Caramelized Eggplant Pie, Veggie rainbow pie, Orecchiette with zucchini and riccota, Caramelized plum cake</strong> and many others that are just waiting to be tasted.</p>
<p>Because we like to stay true to the <strong>classic flavours</strong> on the Samsara menu, you will still be able to enjoy dishes such as cauliflower popcorn, Double Cheesy Burger, cabbage à la Cluj or lasagna with mushrooms and spinach.</p>
<h4><strong>Autumn flavored drinks </strong></h4>
<p>We haven&#8217;t left out the drinks either, so we&#8217;ve included unique, comforting flavors and ingredients in our cocktails, such as pear, yuzu, passion fruit, almond or pear foam with bergamot and chili (Godfather Punch, Passion Fruit Martini, Japanese Collins are just a few of the signature cocktails worth trying). The homemade drinks from the Samsara laboratory stand out &#8211; kombucha with pomegranate or passion fruit, tepache with basil or ginger beer.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Autumn is also about looking for the warmth from within, the warmth of the home, the warmth of food. A warmth that we wanted to be found in the dishes of this menu. A warmth that you can feel in peace, that makes you think of the sun over the summer that sweetened the fruits and vegetables and contributed, subtly, to what you will enjoy on your plate. Autumn tastes are best reflected in aromatic dishes, with delicate textures and fully utilized ingredients. The story of autumn continues with the story on the plate, where food fully fulfills its purpose.</p>
<p>And because the autumn air brings us close, inside, we are waiting for you at our house, in the room with the olive tree, to enjoy together the dishes from the seasonal menu and the relaxing atmosphere we are used to.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Food waste, whether it means food that gets lost, food that spoils because it&#8217;s not used, or that gets thrown in the trash while still good to eat, comes in many forms, even more reasons, and partial solutions.</p>
<p>Habits such as buying more food than necessary or leaving food in the refrigerator until it spoils contribute to the depletion of natural resources and harm the environment. Apart from additional expenses, this waste also translates into a waste of energy, water, soil, fertilizers and labor required to produce food that is never consumed.</p>
<p>To help reduce this phenomenon, we need to transform the way we consume and produce food. Through small individual actions, paying more attention to what you buy and small tricks in the kitchen we can have a big impact on reducing food waste.</p>
<p>We have prepared a list of some simple but effective ways to help you prevent food waste.</p>

<p><span data-contrast="auto">Buying only the food you need is one of the easiest ways to help reduce waste. Prepare a shopping list of the foods you need, not before checking the fridge, freezer and pantry. This will allow you to focus on only the things you actually need, reducing the likelihood of overbuying. </span></p>
<h5><span data-contrast="auto">2. Plan a weekly menu! </span></h5>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">A weekly menu planned in advance can help you organize your eating behavior, but also reduce waste. By doing this, you&#8217;ll be prepared when you go to the store and won&#8217;t buy compulsively. It&#8217;s also great because sometimes we have recipes we love and make them instead of other things. So meal planning can also help us learn what we like and make better shopping habits. </span></p>
<h5><span data-contrast="auto">3. Watch out for 1+1 free promotions and low-priced food! </span></h5>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">Especially when we talk about perishable food, promotions like 1+1 free or a larger quantity of products at a reduced price only contribute to food waste. No matter how attractive the offer, if the food ends up being thrown away, you still won&#8217;t save. </span></p>
<h5><span data-contrast="auto">4. Always check the date on the package! </span></h5>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">Don&#8217;t forget to check the date on the label when shopping. If you don&#8217;t plan to eat the food right away, choose to buy food with a later expiration date.</span></p>
<h5>5. Buy odd/unusual shaped foods too!</h5>
<p>Oddly shaped or damaged fruits and vegetables are often thrown away because their size, shape or colour does not meet the standards we are used to. But they taste the same and are just as nutritious. You can use overripe fruits for smoothies, juices, jams and desserts.</p>
<h5>6. Keep and store food properly!</h5>
<p>Store leftovers in airtight containers to protect them from drying out. Do not leave cooked food for long periods of time at room temperature. You can use it to write the contents and date on the container. This way, you will know exactly how long the products are still safe for consumption! Leftovers can be refrigerated in airtight containers for up to four days after cooking. Don&#8217;t forget to let hot food cool down well before putting it in the fridge.</p>

<h5>7. Turn expiring foods into new dishes!</h5>
<p>Vegetables that don&#8217;t last long can be used as ingredients in wraps or turned into sauces or cream soups; Certain leftovers from dinner can be used the next day in sandwiches. You can turn the remaining bread into breadcrumbs or croutons.</p>
<h5>8. Freeze leftovers instead of throwing them away!</h5>
<p>You can choose to freeze a dish if you have cooked a larger quantity. Store it in the freezer in single servings so you have a few ready when you&#8217;re hungry and don&#8217;t want to cook. Do not forget to consume the dish within 24 hours of defrosting. If you are freezing a product that is not in its original packaging, put it in a closed container or freezer bag and write on a label the name of the product and the date of freezing. Pickling, drying, canning, fermenting and freezing are other methods you can use to make food last longer, thus reducing waste.</p>
<h5>9. Try to reduce food waste even if you go to a restaurant!</h5>
<p>A few simple actions can help you reduce food waste even if you go out to eat! Ask what the portion size is before you order your food! Check the ingredients of the products to make sure that the dish you ordered does not contain ingredients that you do not like. Last but not least, choose to take the uneaten food home. You can ask for your leftover food to be packed to eat later.</p>
<h5>10. Be creative and cook based on the food you have!</h5>
<p>Schedule a dinner every week, where you will use all the leftovers. Search the cupboards and fridge for leftovers and other foods that might otherwise be overlooked. Be creative and create recipes based on ingredients you already have. You&#8217;ll be surprised what goodies can come out! Take your uneaten food home At the restaurant, ask for all the leftover food to be packed for you to eat later. Few of us take home leftovers from restaurants, but this could become a wonderful habit!</p>

Due to its sweet and juicy taste, watermelon is considered a fruit by many people. And this is also true from a botanical point of view, because it grows like a fruit: it is drawn from bee-pollinated flowers and contains seeds. However, still botanically speaking, it is classified in the curcubitaceae family, along with cucumbers, zucchini or melons. </span></p>
<p class="tw-data-text tw-text-large tw-ta" dir="ltr" data-placeholder="Translation"><span class="Y2IQFc" lang="en"> &#8211; Every part of a watermelon is edible (rind, seeds, flesh). &#8211; There are over 50 varieties of watermelon, each varying slightly in size, color and taste. </span></p>
<p class="tw-data-text tw-text-large tw-ta" dir="ltr" data-placeholder="Translation"><span class="Y2IQFc" lang="en"> &#8211; The heaviest melon has been reported to be 159 kg, but most varieties produce melons of about 6 to 12 kg. </span></p>

The most common way, of course, is to simply cut it and then eat the slices. <p>Brunch is a kind of combination of breakfast and lunch, invented by the British in the late 1800s and later popularized by the Americans. The slow pace of the dishes and the wide variety of dishes that can be served are what made brunch so popular all over the world.</p>

<p>The beauty of the brunch is given by the delicious options and the atmosphere you can enjoy. That&#8217;s why we included in the menu both savory dishes (Summer scrambled toast, Egg white scrambled on sourdough bread, Sunny side up eggs on brioche &amp; rice &#8220;bacon&#8221;) and sweet (Peanut butter &amp; tofu toast, French toast créme brulée , Fruity greek yogurt &amp; granola).</p>

<p>Because we like to complete the tasting experience with a very welcoming and comfortable atmosphere, we are waiting for you on our terrace in Cluj with sunlight, good music and lots of greenery.</p>
<p>If during the day you are looking for a shady shelter to shelter you from the scorching heat, in our menu you will find homemade drinks (tepache, kombucha, ginger and raspberry beer), but also many other drinks to cool you down!</p>
<p>And if the weather turns out not to be very friendly, it&#8217;s good to know that we also have a covered terrace (partially). Let&#8217;s not forget the blankets, we have them well kept to make you comfortable with the temperatures, in case of cool weather.</p>
<p>Towards evening we complete the atmosphere with the lighting of the decorative lights. Only a good setting for a romantic dinner or a meeting with friends, while pampering your taste buds with the summer flavors of the new menu.</p>

			<p>There comes a time in spring when we begin to readjust to the fresh and warm air, to enjoy the sun and the terrace and, most importantly, to explore new tastes.</p>
<p>Our new menu has finally made its debut, inspired by the aromas of spring-summer and awakened senses &#8211; especially visual, olfactory and gustatory. And this time, we turned our attention to the beauty of simple ingredients. We analyzed all their facets to capitalize on the best of each, and from this exploration was born our new menu.</p>
<p>Because we like to liken food to a feast for the senses, we want the new dishes to offer not only a culinary experience, but an essence and a different meaning of simple and good taste.</p>
<p>Watermelon Gazpacho Soup, grilled artichoke, tapioca mac &amp; cheese, flambéed coconut mousse with rum are just some of the dishes waiting to be discovered.</p>
<p>The drinks menu was also enriched with liqueurs such as tepache (fermented drink obtained from the peel and pulp of the pineapple), kombucha with passion fruit or red oranges, tonic gin, lemonade, superfood drinks and healthy shots.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Whether we are talking about kale, kombucha or cauliflower, the term &#8220;superfood&#8221; is one that we come across more and more often in discussions about nutritional benefits. Due to their unique properties, chia seeds fall into this category of superfoods with a nutritional profile that deserves to be taken into account.</p>
<p>A flowering plant of the mint family, chia is native to certain areas of Mexico and Guatemala. Chia seeds can be either black or white, although black seeds are more common in stores.</p>
<p>While chia seeds have only appeared in the last decade and are still the most popular in healthy living circles, they are actually an ancient staple food of the Aztec and Mayan cultures. In fact, they were more than a staple food for the Aztecs. They offered seeds to their goddesses during religious ceremonies. The word &#8220;chia&#8221; means &#8220;power&#8221; in Mayan, and it should come as no surprise. Loaded with minerals, protein, soluble fiber, antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids, these little seeds have a nutritional power far beyond their size &#8211; or their calories.</p>
<p><strong>Rich in fiber</strong><br />
Chia seeds are mainly used in herbal vegan puddings. These tiny, barely visible seeds form a viscous gel when soaked in water or other beverages. Chia seed gel is a remarkable herbal vegan thickener for smoothies, sauces, soups and stews.</p>
<p>So what&#8217;s the secret to chia seeds? It&#8217;s all about fiber! Remarkably, chia seeds can absorb about ten times their weight in water! If you want to increase your fiber intake and reduce carbohydrates, chia seeds are a good choice.</p>
<p>Gelled chia seeds can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week. But if you prefer a different consistency, dried chia seeds, whole or ground, go well with smoothies, as a topping for salads or cooked vegetables, mixed in yogurt, oatmeal or whole grain porridge.</p>
<p><strong>Rich in Omega-3</strong><br />
Chia seeds are a good source of linoleic and alpha-linolenic acid, essential omega-3 fatty acids. They are called &#8220;essential&#8221; fatty acids because the body cannot produce them and we have to get them from food.</p>
<p><strong>Rich in antioxidants</strong><br />
Chia seeds are very rich in antioxidants, substances that can protect our body against free radicals. Free radicals are molecules that form when we digest food and are exposed to tobacco smoke or radiation.</p>

There are five main types: white tea, green tea, oolong tea, black tea and Pu-Erh.</p>

<h4>What are the benefits of tea?</h4>
<p>Most often we prepare mint or chamomile tea. Mint tea has a calming effect refreshes the breath and relieves some digestive problems. Chamomile tea, just like and mint, has a calming effect, but is also a good anti-inflammatory. Rosehips have benefits for kidneys and liver, they are a remedy for coughs, colds or fatigue. In addition, tea Rosehip is a good source of vitamin C.</p>
<p>Other teas, just as important for health, are black tea and green tea.</p>
<h4>Does black tea have the same properties as green tea?</h4>
<p>Both black tea and green tea are made from the leaves of Camellia sinensis. The tea black tea is made from the mature leaves and stems of this plant, and green tea is made from the young leaves, thus having different properties. Black tea is a good soothing for headaches, slows down the absorption of sugar from blood, being used to relieve type 2 diabetes. Green tea is rich in antioxidants and nutrients. Helps reduce body fat, contains a type of natural antioxidant called catechin, which helps prevention of cell damage. In addition, green tea contributes to the proper functioning of the brain.<br />
White tea helps fight acne, provides energy and promotes health and radiance teeth.</p>
<p>Oolong tea, like green tea, helps us burn fat. This type of tea maintains proper functioning of the digestive system and slows down premature aging of the skin, due to the antioxidants it contains. Pu-Erh tea is a good remedy for eliminating nausea or bloating, it has antibacterial properties, helps eliminate fat and lowers cholesterol levels blood.</p>
